Working from home may not be as easy as it may seem. While it has many advantages, there are disadvantages as well. You could be closer to distractions, sometimes it could be hard to focus, and be productive.
It’s normal, don’t worry! We’re here to share tips on creating a healthy and peaceful workspace at home to help you focus and be more productive.
Where to start?
Organize and declutter
Make your workspace clutter-free to lessen additional distractions. Organize your files, fix your calendar, and clean your table.
Add live plants that help absorb radiation
Being in front of the computer for a long time is harmful to your health as it exposes you to radiation that can develop illnesses. In an attempt to prevent that, try adding live plants to your workspace. It can help reduce your stress and boost your mood too!
Pick soothing colors
Some studies have shown that colors blue and green are calming to the human eyes. Try having desk accessories in these colors to help your eyes relax.
Adjust the lighting
Having natural light coming into your workspace can help you be productive and energized. If you don’t have access to natural light, you can have a desk or floor lamp to help you maintain your focus.
Go ergonomic
Choose desks and chairs that are ergonomic to help you maintain your posture as you will be spending most of your time during the day sitting for work. Bad posture can develop back pains, neck pains, and headaches over time.
Position the laptop screen at eye level
To maintain a good posture and avoid back pains, try having a laptop stand so you can position your screen at eye-level. This is best accompanied with an external keyboard and mouse to help you sit comfortably while working.
Try adding relaxing music
Sometimes, listening to music can help you keep your focus. Try listening to soothing music that can help you disconnect from the household noise.
Happy working!
