I have bought two large windchimes. First was great, perfect! Bought for my dad. Liked so much I purchased for myself. Well, mine arrived late, package very damaged, and cracked windchimes with the paint chipped off all over. Quite disappointing second shipment! Im disabled and difficult for me to return this. So disappointing as I was excitedly waiting for this to arrive for my home. Spent a lot of money to be wasted. Wish I could have shared a 5 star review cor purchasing twice.

I’ve attached little paper fan things to capture the wind. The wooden thing is heavy and flat and so not responsive to wind. They need to change that.

Immediately after lifting the bamboo chime out of the box, I LOVED the deep, soothing, tropical sounds. The one I got was the large, and was packaged very well!Nalulu took pride in their craft and did very well! Thank you all! Because of you guys, I feel like I’m in the tropics at home when I close my eyes and listen to them sing in the breeze.I’ve gotten a couple other bamboo chimes from another company and purchased on Amazon. One thing I know for certain, you cannot leave these outside all year long here in the Midwest United States! The bamboo pieces will not only start to split apart, but the color will fade from a rich brown color, to a very light/bleached out tan. They still sound okay, but you’ll notice the difference in sound quality between one’s that have been left out compared to these new ones.Nalulu is a step above the other brand for sure! I’m truly happy with this! Again, thank you all!
TL;DR: Can't just set and forget it and needs some minimal care but the sound is amazing and is a wonderful product.I loved the sounds and soothing atmosphere of the medium sized wind chime so much I bought the large sized now around a year later. Having the new and one year old products side by side can tell you that it is an excellent product but to care for it you should put in some effort which I didn't do so consider this review a warning of what could happen.The medium which has been hanging unattended on my porch for a year of moderate weather (upper 20 degrees Fahrenheit at the coldest, lower 90 degrees Fahrenheit at the hottest) is definitely sun bleached and now has cracks in pretty much every tube. Only one crack goes through the tube splitting it (included picture of the damaged tube) and that tube sounds muted compared to the others. Overall other than that one tube all the changes are currently cosmetic (the other cracks may extend through the tube in the future if I continue leaving it out without any repairs which I do not intend to do now that I'm aware of what is happening) and don't affect the sound and function. Seeing these changes will definitely try to care for the newer one a little better by either bringing it in during the winter or applying a protective varnish sooner than the yearly suggested period.The quality of the item and very affordable price mean despite this slight inconvenience of not being set and forget I am still very happy with the product and plan to order more in the future.
Ordered these wind chimes for my mom who loves the soft sounds of the bamboo. My only complaint is that one of the tubes came split almost completely in half despite being packed in bubble wrap. If the seller reaches out to make this right, I will update my review.
One of the bamboo tubes was drilled that it causes it to lean outward as pictured. The overall chime needed adjustment however once I made the corrections (re-drilled & re-tied the strings) it did have a nice sound.** Update 3/20 **Though I had the opportunity to return/exchange it (which as I stated I fixed the problem myself), customer service from Nalulu reached out to me on there own and had offered a few solutions to correct the situation regardless. Though I was a little disappointed that it passed QC, I am VERY pleased with a company that backs their products. Thank you to Maria.
Very cool chime, very cool sound. As you can see in the picture I received a defective chime. One of the tubes was split - NOT from shipping, appears the bamboo shrank and split? The shipping box was pristine so that wasn't the issue. I contacted NALULU and they sent a replacement ASAP. Excellent Customer Service

The one that is not damaged by insects is absolutely beautiful and sounds lovely, exactly what we wanted. They have a nice deep tone and they are a great size, and it looks like quality craftmanship. So on one hand, I highly recommend!HOWEVER, the other one was filled with sawdust, and I as unpacked it to investigate further I realized there were tiny wood-boring beetles in each piece of bamboo - all dead (I hope). I then moved the package to the outside and finished unwrapping it outside. It was a mess to unpackage and the beetles left holes in the bamboo. The chimes themselves sound just fine but I am not happy about the insects or the damage. This isn't an issue with the craftmanship but somewhere along the line, the storage process and/or QC missed something. The beetles that fell out were all dead, I hope there are no larvae burrowed in the wood to creep out later?? No clue what kind of beetle they are. It was windy outside, so while I went to get my phone to take pics, the wind blew away most of the sawdust and the pile of dead beetles, therefore the pics don't show just how large the amounts of sawdust and dead bugs were, but you get the idea. When I went back inside I found some dead bugs on the counter that had fallen out (before we realized what was happening and took everything outside) so I took a pic to show how tiny they are.I'll gladly up the stars to 5 if the seller corrects this. Without the insects they are a solid 5. But nothing should ship infested with insects. :(
i hung this wind chime by my wife's grave from a tree that she wanted to be by (passed Jan 29/2018) . it was only up for TWO WEEKS and one of the chimes string broke and i found the largest tube on the ground by her place .. very dissatisfied ... only two weeks ???? i have one in my yard 5 years old ... not as big but a cheap on to say the least ... still chiming even through 5 New England winters ... you may want to stay clear ...up date ... the seller contacted me quickly and sent a replacement another LARGE AND a smaller chime .. no charge .. fast and courteous seller response .. thank you

Very nice subtle tones to the chime. Picks up a tone in even the slightest of breezes.
It’s cheaply made, doesn’t hold up to the weather and I mean the wind. One week up and it was already messed up. My cheaper wind chimes I’ve had for years have held up better. A friend of mine is going to fix it with something better than basic string. It does have a nice sound though, that I enjoyed very much.

Originally we ordered a "like new" version of this and it was sooo used and beat up.. it was literally cracked broken so i'm not sure who approved that, on top of this they didn't allow for return to whole foods so It was a hassle. BUT after we got a real new one it works great and makes beautiful, not annoying sounds.
